Meet Our Team

We are really excited by the senior team we have put together at CARE ADHD. Our backgrounds include clinical, operational, managerial, commercial and lived experience in the mental healthcare sector.

But more important than the Board are our world-class team of clinicians. We are a Consultant-led, multi-disciplinary team of ADHD experts. We train all our clinicians to a high standard, then we do everything we can to make it a happy working environment so they stay with us.

    Tim is a Consultant Psychiatrist who has been practising for over 40 years.

    Mark has been an NHS Service Director of over 5 years in South London and Suffolk, managing NHS mental health budgets in excess of £60m and 1000+ people.

    Bobby has 20 years of local and national experience in the healthcare sector, most recently as Director for Community Mental Health Transformation at South London and Maudsley NHS FT.

  • Kathryn Pattison

    HEAD OF CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

    Kat Pattison brings nearly 20 years' experience in the digital sector, successfully leading globally distributed remote teams of up to 500 people.

  • CHAIR

    Tim is a Consultant Psychiatrist who has been practising for over 40 years.

    He was National Clinical Director for mental health in England for 8 years, and before that was Medical Director for 13 years at Sheffield mental health trust.

    Tim chaired the first ever mental health NICE guideline (on Schizophrenia), and has since led 30 guidelines, including the guideline for ADHD.

    Tim has published widely. In 2004, he was awarded Lancet Paper of the Year for showing the impact of selective publishing by the drug industry about antidepressants in the treatment of childhood depression.

    He is international director at the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health at the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and is visiting Professor at UCL since 2009.

    Tim has been conferred with two honorary doctorates for his contribution to mental health at the Open University (2019) and at the University of Sheffield (2020) and was awarded CBE for services to mental health care in the King’s New Year’s Honours list in 2024.

  • CHIEF PHARMACIST

    Tsana Simmonds is a highly qualified pharmacist with over a decade of experience in the healthcare industry. She graduated as a pharmacist in 2008.  Since 2011 has dedicated her career to mental health care where she has held various leadership positions within the NHS.

    Notable achievements include her integral role in the successful launch of East London NHS Foundation Trust’s internationally renowned Quality Improvement Programme, which has been widely recognised central to it being one of the few ‘Outstanding’ CQC-rated NHS Mental Health Trusts.

    Tsana’s dedication to continuous improvement and unwavering advocacy for patient wellbeing set her apart as a leader in the field of mental health pharmacy.  Her clinical expertise and leadership skills make her a valuable asset to the CARE ADHD Board.

  • MEDICAL DIRECTOR

    Dr Rhodri David is a Consultant Psychiatrist who has worked in both the NHS and private sector. He qualified from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine & Dentistry in 2004. He also holds a BSc in Psychology from King’s College London, a Master’s degree in Medical Education, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health Law.

    He has expertise in a wide variety of mental health conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, bipolar affective disorder, depression, OCD, mania, perinatal mental health, personality disorder, and psychosis.

    Dr David has worked across a breadth of mental health services, including crisis, community, inpatient, substance misuse, and criminal justice settings. He has worked in women’s mental health services for several years, including Perinatal settings. He currently works in an inpatient setting for both men and women in the NHS.

    Dr David has a keen interest in Medical Education and currently holds a Clinical Senior Lecturer post at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.

  • SENIOR OPERATIONAL MANAGER

    Aradhana has 7 years of experience working in the national mental health policy and delivery at NHS England, including roles in both adult and children’s policies. She was part of the team that delivered the Five Year Forward View and developed policies for the NHS Long Term Plan.

    More recently, Aradhana was the national policy lead who oversaw the implementation of clinical health outcome measurement across NHS mental health Trusts in England. With an educational background in Biomedical Science and Global Health Development, Aradhana has always had a strong interest in providing the best possible care, to improving the lives of communities and individuals.

  • DIRECTOR

    Bobby has 20 years of local and national experience in the healthcare sector, most recently as Director for Community Mental Health Transformation at South London and Maudsley NHS FT.

    Prior to that Bobby was Head of Adult Mental Health for NHS England where he was proud to lead the brilliant team that secured over £1billion national settlement from Government for adult mental health services.

    Bobby has also worked at senior levels of Government at the Department of Health where he was Private Secretary to 3 Government Ministers, including Sir Norman Lamb MP. While in ministerial private office, he covered mental health, social care, disability and cancer portfolios. He also worked on adult social care in the Bill team that took the Care Act 2014 through Parliament.

    Bobby’s close family has lived experiences of adult ADHD, and their struggle to access support is what attracted him to join CARE ADHD.

    Kat Pattison brings nearly 20 years' experience in the digital sector, successfully leading globally distributed remote teams of up to 500 people. She has a proven ability to implement operational systems and processes that empower teams to deliver consistently exceptional service.

    With a strong background in Operations and Customer Success Leadership, coupled with experience in the private healthcare sector, Kat has built a reputation for being a dynamic and innovative leader in both B2B and B2C environments.

    As Head of Customer Experience, Kat is dedicated to ensuring every client's journey is seamless, person-centred, and unparalleled in quality. Kat was an Innovation Fellow from the Institute of Digital Innovation, and has a history of achieving industry-leading customer satisfaction ratings. Her expertise, creative approach, and unwavering commitment to doing the right thing ensure CARE ADHD sets the gold standard in the UK’s HealthTech sector.

    Kat believes that world-class ADHD care should be for everyone, and this belief drives her mission to help revolutionise ADHD services by raising the standard and ensuring everyone we support is treated with the same care and attention that she would expect for her own nearest and dearest.

  • MANAGING DIRECTOR

    Mark has been an NHS Service Director of over 5 years in South London and Suffolk, managing NHS mental health budgets in excess of £60m and 1000+ people. He qualified with a 1st class honours in Mental Health Nursing in 2012 and held jobs as a Ward Manager and Matron for adult inpatient services. Mark is a qualified Quality Improvement Coach through the Institute for Health Improvement.

    Mark was responsible for an Adult ADHD waiting list of thousands of people in a previous role. He saw that the NHS did not currently have the flexibility to meet demand, waiting lists that are growing and the NHS being landed with expensive bills for poor quality care. Mark founded CARE ADHD as he was convinced that it is possible to do better for people in need of support.
