Role Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and dynamic Non-Medical Prescribers to join our healthcare team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for professionals who are passionate about broadening their skills while making a significant impact on the lives of individuals with complex needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and formulate individualised treatment plans to clients that have been diagnosed as having ADHD.
  • Administer high-quality care and interventions, adhering to established standards.
  • Deliver a holistic approach to care, incorporating both clinical and psychosocial interventions.
  • You will be undertaking Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level and will be using your expert knowledge and clinical skills to attend to patients.
  • You will be providing expert professional advice to patients, carers, and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.
  • You will provide treatment to clients who have ADHD and will prescribe medication.
  • You will carry out clinical reviews with clients, and keep their recovery plans updated.

Qualifications and Experience

To be effective is this job you will:

  • Be a Registered General Nurse, Registered Mental Nurse or a Registered Pharmacist (GPhC);
  • Hold an appropriate entry on the NMC register or GPhC register
  • Hold a V300 Qualification;
  • Be able to evidence your continuous professional development;
  • Be able to demonstrate your experience of assessments, care planning and key working;
  • Be able to evidence peer working or working within a multi-disciplinary team, and collaborating with external agencies;
  • It is desirable for you to have previous experience of prescribing for ADHD, however if you don’t full training will be given;
  • Be able to work effectively in a team environment, using collaborative and supportive approaches to your work whilst working remotely;
  • Have strong organisational/time management skills;
  • Be able to accurately gather and maintain records and information.

    Desirable Skills

    Preference will be given to any candidates that meet the essential criteria and fulfill all or some of the following:

    • Educated to degree level or above;
    • Undertaken relevant postgraduate study;
    • Completed a Mentorship; Course/ENB 998 or equivalent for pharmacists experienced in providing supervision;
    • Clinical experience in ADHD;
    • Understand and are aligned to harm minimisation in drug treatment work;
    • Experience of successfully delivering training to others;
    • Proficient at dealing with difficult situations and ensuring personal safety;
    • Understand and have experience of delivering group work;
    • Understand solution focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and/or Motivational Interviewing.

    • The role will require you to be able to work in a quiet space with good internet access allowing you to conduct 1:1 appointments confidentially in a professional manner.
